Bury AFC was created in 2020 and has both men’s and women’s football teams, as well as a growing number of recreational teams. The club has already achieved FA Charter Standard status and in addition to this growth, a Community Trust has recently been awarded charitable status from the Charity Commission. The Bury AFC Community Trust is connected to, but independent of Bury AFC. It has been set up in this way to ensure key partners and stakeholders are able to sit as trustees alongside the football club.
We are searching for our first Chair of the Community Trust. This will be someone who shares our vision that all residents of Bury should have access to one of our physical and mental health programmes. You will be passionate about the role that sport, and especially football, can play in developing both individuals and the communities they live in.
The organisation is new and we are looking for someone who can build the right team to grow it.
To apply, please send a CV and covering letter to firstname.lastname@example.org by 28th May 2021.
Should you wish to have a conversation about the position, please email the above address and we will get in touch.
