Incoming: Danielle Bailey & Lauren Lynchey

Danielle Bailey

Hot on the heels of announcing four new additions yesterday, we are delighted to add two further players to the squad today!

20-year-old Danielle Bailey and Lauren Lynchey, 16, join having played football from a very young age, and both players have been involved in FA Women’s Super League Academy squads.

Both of these young women are extremely talented centre-backs, exhibiting great pace and solid in the tackle as well as versatility by being able to play in a number of different positions.

Danielle played at Manchester City from the age of 11 to 16, before moving to Everton. Since then she has represented both Brighouse Town and Bolton Wanderers.

We spoke to Danielle and she told us: “I am really excited for a fresh start! I’ve struggled to enjoy football for the last few years and this was an opportunity I couldn’t refuse. There’s so much quality within the squad, I can’t wait to start the season.”

Lauren played for a boys’ team in Bury from a very young age and also played girls’ football for Bolton Wanderers until she was picked up by Everton aged 13. She leaves the academy this year and we were over the moon when she decided to join us.

“This is an unbelievable opportunity to play for a club in my home town with a group of amazing footballers! And a huge step up to women’s football, which I can’t wait to be a part of!” explained Lauren.

Welcome Danielle & Lauren! #ProudToBe

We still have plenty of announcements to come over the next few weeks, so please make sure that you are following the women’s team on Twitter and Instagram.
