Incoming: George Blackwell

We are delighted to announce our latest signing, winger George Blackwell

The 24 year old has great experience of the level, having played at New Mills, Stockport Town, Cheadle Heath Nomads and most recently West Didsbury & Chorlton.

George is able to play anywhere across the attack, he adds competition to the side – as well as offering somewhat of a goal threat.

Manager, Andy Welsh said: “We now feel we have very healthy competition in the attacking areas. George has a got great qualities and will give us balance on the left side.

We will need him to constantly be positive and getting on the ball which he has shown throughout the last couple of weeks.

We have no doubt George with his delivery and ability to go past players from wide areas will cause problems.

Looking forward to working with George as again he’s a great age with lots of experience at this level and someone who wants to listen and develop his game on our journey.”

George added: “I am delighted to have joined Bury AFC! As soon as the opportunity came up it was a no brainer for me. I’m really excited to work with Andy and be part of this journey. I cannot wait to get going and give the supporters something to cheer about again.”
